The University of Dunaújváros (UOD) proudly stands as the sole higher educational institution in this rapidly developing town, strategically located at the geographical center of Hungary. With a commitment to shaping the region's higher education landscape, UOD plays a pivotal role in fostering academic growth and innovation. Currently, the university hosts a thriving community of over two thousand students, actively engaged in various fields of study.
 

In recent years, the University of Dunaújváros has experienced remarkable growth and expansion, marked by the introduction of foreign language undergraduate and graduate programs, particularly in Engineering and Communication disciplines.
 

Academic Offerings
 

UOD has a rich academic portfolio dating back to the 1990s when it commenced courses in metallurgical and mechanical engineering, technical management, engineering teacher training, and information technology. Subsequently, in the early 2000s, the university extended its academic horizons to include communication and media studies.
 

Students at UOD can select from a wide array of options, with forty-five specializations spanning eleven fundamental majors available in both full-time and part-time Hungarian-language programs. Additionally, UOD offers select programs in English, catering to international students seeking excellence in higher education.

The campus features state-of-the-art facilities, including a regional library, spacious lecture halls, well-equipped professional laboratories, two expansive conference rooms, and a newly added ballroom, all housed in a versatile 4,000-square-meter building.
 

In addition to its academic resources, UOD places great importance on student accommodation and recreation. The university offers recently renovated student hostels, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming stay for students and guests. Moreover, a new public park graces the front of the main building, featuring a captivating fountain, a bio-pond, and lush green spaces.
